The work is executed in the author’s recognizable manner — expressive strokes, dense texture and complex body plasticity create a strong emotional image. The composition is bold, with a non-trivial angle, which emphasizes the artist’s professionalism and his confident mastery of anatomy and color. For the period of the 2000s, such works by Rustamov are distinguished by high collection quality.
The author is Honored Artist of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Presented in private and museum collections in Ukraine, the USA, Great Britain, and the Czech Republic. In 2013, 20 of his works were purchased by representatives of the Tate Modern gallery (London).
